Eastman School of Music graduate and flutist with the Navy Band in Washington, D.C., Haley Bangs will join forces with pianist Michael Baron in presenting masterpieces from the classical and jazz fields. Claudes Bolling’s ever-popular Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio will be presented with string bass and drums as well as Prokofiev’s magnificent Flute Sonata, and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of German Romantic composer Carl Reincke, his“Undine” Flute Sonata.

Francis Poulenc’s music has been described as witty, tuneful, fun, joyful, beautiful, and meaningful. This concert affords an opportunity to hear all of his major works for piano and winds played by masters of their instruments. The concert includes the Flute Sonata,  Clarinet Sonata, Trio for Piano, Oboe and Bassoon, and Sextet for Piano, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, and Horn. A concert guaranteed to please everyone!
